FAB Tween Range - A Message to Parents & Guardians
Dear Parent or Guardian,
If you’ve found your way here, it’s likely because you care deeply about your child’s wellbeing—just like I do.
FAB Tweens was born from a personal journey. My stepdaughter, Leah, has oculocutaneous albinism - a rare genetic condition that reduces the amount of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes. It also makes her extremely sensitive to sunlight, environmental triggers, and many common skincare products.
Like many children her age, Leah was curious and eager to try skincare products. But nine times out of ten, she’d react to them—itchiness, redness, and irritation became a frustrating cycle. It was disheartening, and honestly, a little scary.
So I decided to do something about it.
Together, Leah and I began working through gentle formulations, testing and refining each one until we found something that worked—something safe, effective, and age-appropriate. She was brave, honest, and excited to be part of the process. And from that journey, FAB Tweens was created—with care, love, and a desire to support tweens through their skincare discovery in a healthy, confident way.
We’ve also included educational guidance for you and your tween. You won’t find 10-step routines here, because they’re simply not needed at this age. We believe in:
- Gentle care over complication
- Building good habits without overwhelm
- Encouraging self-confidence from the inside out
Our goal is to give tweens the knowledge and tools they need to look after themselves with pride, while keeping things simple, safe, and fun.
We hope FAB Tweens becomes part of your child’s positive skincare story—just like it did for Leah.
With love,
Laura & Leah

❗️Why Kids Shouldn't Use Adult Skincare Products
- Too Harsh: Adult products often contain strong active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, or salicylic acid, which can strip or irritate a child’s delicate skin.
- Unnecessary Ingredients: Fragrances, preservatives, and alcohol-based ingredients in adult products can trigger allergies or sensitivity in young skin.
- Different Needs: Kids don’t need anti-aging, deep-cleansing, or oil-control treatments. Their skincare should focus on gentle cleansing, light hydration, and sun protection.
- Can Disrupt Natural Balance: Overusing adult products can disturb the skin’s natural barrier, leading to dryness, redness, or even early skin issues.
